Meet the Management

Jeff Scheper \ Chairman Jeff began his career as a programmer and project manager for a start-up software company that provided custom applications to the consumer package goods industry. His early experience working directly with top executives at Fortune 500 companies combined with his strategic role in the software start-up provided valuable insights into large and small business management at a young age.

Jeff leveraged his experience and entrepreneurial energy to found Better Software Design and at the age of 26 was delivering custom applications to Sears, Kraft Foodservice and others. It didn't take long for Jeff to see that there was great potential to expand his sole proprietorship and in 1996 Jeff, along with his mentor and friend Jim Lagattuta, founded Prescient Development, Inc, which later became Prescient Solutions.

As Chairman, Jeff's role is to chart the course and manage the continued strategic development of Prescient Solutions as we continue our second decade of success.



James E. Lagattuta \ CEO Jim started his career in sales in the consumer package goods industry. He later gained valuable IT and entrepreneurial experience and played a major role in the creation of a start-up software company catering to that industry.

Jim moved into healthcare accepting a role as Director of Marketing for a leading Chicago area healthcare system. Jim was involved in practice development and imaging for physicians and the health system. Jim was recruited away by his former software business colleague and friend, Jeff Scheper, to start up Prescient.

Jim's role at Prescient Solutions is to oversee the financial, operational, and strategic direction of the company with business partners, Jeff Scheper and Jerry Irvine. Jim focuses on building and maintaining a strong company presence in the business and social media community and leads the company culture building efforts of Prescient. Jim prides himself on his open door policy.



Jerry Irvine \ CIO and Executive Vice President of Sales CISSP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, CNE, Cisco Wireless Professional

Jerry has been deeply involved with the IT industry since 1987. As a result of Jerry's early experience he became an expert in Network Communications and Protocols when others were just getting their first computer. Armed with this expertise, Jerry entered the consulting world working for companies like Network General and Advantis performing detailed network analysis, design and troubleshooting.

Since then Jerry has filled MIS and CIO positions at multiple facilities, managing over 100 technicians and thousands of devices. Jerry has led multiple project teams such as the largest Microsoft Directory migration project ever with Canadian Bell and a WAN design and implementation connecting over 2000 devices across 48 countries. His expertise ranges across all layers of the OSI Model from Physical to Application.

In 2008, Jerry was selected to join the National Cyber Security Task Force, a joint operation between the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This task force is responsible for advising federal decision-makers on cyber security policy and sharing best practices related to this urgent and ongoing need.

Jerry's role as CIO and Executive VP of Sales at Prescient Solutions is to provide strategic direction for all clients via the definition of Industry Best Practices and development of Standards and Policies. He oversees product innovation and implementation of the highest quality of service. Jerry takes personal responsibility for the level of IT expertise and quality Prescient provides to each of our clients.



Tom Pettenon \ President and COO Before joining Prescient Solutions, Tom enjoyed more than 20 years of multi-industry experience including Transportation, Publishing, Education, Finance and IT Professional Services. He has held leadership positions in Product Development, Client Relations Management, IT Operations, Service Management and Customer Service for industry leading companies such as Rand McNally, Forsythe Solutions, Comdisco, Aon Corporation and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

Tom was brought in as VP of Client Services in 2007 and has functioned as COO since 2009 specifically to institute tighter business processes and procedures that we provide our clients as well as within Prescient operations. As Prescient Solutions’ President and COO, Tom is responsible for the continuous support and the overall satisfaction of our ever expanding client base as well as development and execution of long and short term business strategies, oversees the management team, service delivery and internal business operations. With his wealth of experience Tom knows how to make clients happy. He is the guy to call if there is ever a question, comment or concern with any aspect of our service.



Kim Lindeman \ CFO Kim has been involved with Prescient Solutions in accounting and financial roles since the onset of the company. In 2004, Kim joined Prescient as the company Controller. During her tenure, Kim has provided both tactical and strategic financial direction and control which has contributed to Prescient's strength and ability to weather the turmoil of Y2K, 9/11 and recent recession.

Prescient's executive management understands the need to maintain a fiscally sound and responsible environment in order to continue providing premier IT services to our clients. As a result, Kim was promoted in 2011 to CFO to give her the authority to maintain our current financial strength.

Kim directs and communicates the company's budgeting, financial and tax planning processes and oversees marketing, accounting, and human resources.
