Supports and sets up client desktops, laptops and applications. Provides advanced end user support to meet established service levels and assumes responsibility for help desk ticket queue. Responsible for the architecture and design of desktop and laptop computer systems.
Provides desktop support in a primarily Microsoft environment.
Responsible for hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, computer roll outs.
Creates and maintains new user accounts, have knowledge of Active Directory structure.
Works closely with Network and Systems engineers to gain knowledge of network topology, profiles and exchange tasks within a Windows 2003 back end environment.
Documents and posts procedures to the share point portal used as a tool to educate fellow team members and enhance the knowledge base.
Contributes to the planning and design workstation hardware, software, and application capabilities
Interfaces with other Information Technology groups to coordinate.
Works with the client to make decisions on desktops and laptops purchases, setup images and deployment/testing issues.
Assists with network and systems administration.
Researches options for long and short-term changes to the desktop computer technologies in order to ensure that required functions are available to support business initiative across the organization.
Evaluates emerging technologies and responsible for the delivery of assigned projects, meeting assigned time lines, and budget objectives.
Performs other duties and/or assists with special projects as needed.

Establishes, maintains, and provides the engineering direction needed to connect and configure servers on the enterprise networks. This includes the configuration of the server hardware, configuration of system backups, configuration of software distribution loads, configuration of system monitoring agents and allocation of disk storage. Works across the enterprise and is cross functional in technology and working with the rest of the business to design and implement large scale solutions. This includes specification of the server hardware, determines long term configuration and backup strategies across the enterprise. Proactively seeks solutions and mentors less experienced staff.

Supports and Maintains an existing network infrastructure, including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points. Also responsible for creating and maintaining documentation that is pertinent to the network infrastructure and monitoring network performance as well as implementing design changes to an existing network infrastructure. Ability to troubleshoot OSI Layer 1 through Layer 7 issues with protocol sniffers. Technical Expertise, including ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, monitor and report statistics on network usage, implement basic configuration changes to existing infrastructure, configure basic routing protocols such as RIP or EIGRP and ability to configure VPN, Trunking and AAA; ability to manage multi-tiered firewall implementations
